School Bus Driver – First Student (Collinsville, IL)
Join us as a Part‑Time School Bus Driver with First Student, a leading provider of student transportation services. You will transport students safely to and from school each day while gaining valuable experience in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities- A split shift: early‑morning before‑school pickup and afternoon drop‑off with free hours in between.
- Guaranteed shift of hours per school day—no nights or weekends unless desired.
- Opportunity to gain additional hours through trips and charters when available.
- $22/hour starting wage (dependent on experience).
- $500 referral bonus*.
- $2,000 sign‑on bonus**.
- Commercial Learner’s Permit (CLP) bonus: $750 if presented within 7 days of completing the Virtual CLP class; $250 if presented within 14 days.
- Paid CDL training.
- Hours guarantee, paid holidays, and charter‑route opportunities.
- Child ride‑along program.
- Medical, dental, vision benefits and 401(k) retirement savings (may vary by location/CBA).
- No high school diploma or college degree required.
- Military experience encouraged.
- Returnees to workforce, second‑job seekers, and retirees welcomed.
- At least 21 years old, with a valid driver’s license for at least 3 years.
- Looking for a part‑time schedule and enjoy working with students.
