Job Title:Assembler II
Location:
South Chesterfield, VA
Assembler II responsible for programming, operating, and basic troubleshooting of automated and/or robotic machinery in the production of sheet‑metal refrigerated cases.
Responsibilities- Read and comprehend an “A” order.
- Identify parts used on the assigned product line and their placement location on the product.
- Identify power and hand tools used on the assigned product line.
- Read and comprehend the work order.
- Perform assembly‑type functions using hand or power tools.
- Identify parts and part descriptions using work order information.
- Utilize information given on material gauging and dimensioning.
- Read rulers, tape measures, metal squares, and other measuring instruments.
- Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners.
- Work at different workstations as production needs require.
- Work as a team member building units to completion.
- Perform appropriate preventive maintenance on equipment and tooling.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
- Must be able to perform tasks that involve standing, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting, or kneeling.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs with or without mechanical aids.
- Work is performed within a production environment subject to temperature variations, hazardous chemicals, mechanical parts, increased noise levels, and dust.
