Tire & Battery Technician - Automotive - PT

Position Summary

As a Tire & Battery Center Technician you will provide safe and efficient service in both the sales and service areas, delivering more of what our members love for less. You will work collaboratively with associates to meet member expectations.

• Collaborate with team members to fulfill sales and service requests, educating associates on tools, tasks, resources, and mentoring new technicians while developing interpersonal skills for safe and efficient customer service.
• Demonstrate knowledge of safety and compliance protocols, tire and battery industry guidelines, service standards, equipment operations, TPMS, product specifications, seasonality, and Point of Sale systems, including phone and in‑person selling techniques.
• Leverage digital tools to plan for and drive sales, improve the service experience, and elevate associate engagement using handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to services, safety alerts, new product information, product application, training, and new tool adoption.
• Communicate equipment, tool, and supply needs to the TBC Lead, track and monitor returns and special orders, operate cash registers, process transactions, maintain accurate inventory and safety audits, report complaints and hazards, complete paperwork logs, and ensure merchandise is packaged, labeled, and stored per company policies. Identify member needs, assist with purchasing decisions, and resolve issues and concerns.
• Serve as a brand advocate, valuing the member experience, modeling high‑quality service and products, and inspiring others to work respectfully, supportively, and team‑oriented while addressing roadblocks and assisting in training.
• Maintain integrity, ethics, and compliance, modeling Walmart values, holding yourself and others accountable, supporting Walmart’s regenerative goals, and acting humbly, self‑aware, honest, fair, and transparent.

$18.00/hr – $25.00/hr

Actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
