Electro‑Mechanical Technician Apprenticeship
What we’re looking forHill Phoenix is looking for candidates for our new apprenticeship program for electro‑mechanical Technicians. This apprenticeship will be a mix of On the Job Training and classroom instruction.
This multi‑craft apprenticeship (electrical, mechanical, and electronic) will be learning routine / preventative maintenance, as well as to troubleshoot, diagnose, test, and repair mechanical, electronic, and electrical industrial equipment for a highly automated manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate must have a continuous improvement mindset while achieving the overall objectives of the apprenticeship.
Responsibilities- Assists other Technicians in the repair and maintenance of equipment.
- Diagnoses mechanical and electrical problems using technical drawings (e.g., blueprints, electronic/mechanical schematics) and diagnostic tools (e.g., multi‑meter, laptop).
- Install, maintain, test, troubleshoot & repair electrical, electronic systems, control and components of industrial machines, tools, and production/utility equipment.
- Diagnose, repair, and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment, including but not limited to seals, gaskets and bearings on motors, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, etc.
- Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical/electronic problems with equipment, networks, PC logic controls, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and external Input/Output (I/O) devices where the repair is not immediately visible or obvious.

- Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

- Some working knowledge of troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Some working knowledge of robotics and industrial machinery in an automated production environment.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have good teamwork and communication skills.
- Must have ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Must be able to work with little or no supervision and meet deadlines.
