Service Technician

ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems, Pedestrian Door Solutions, an international manufacturer of automated doors, is seeking experienced Automatic Door Service Technicians. This position will report to the Service Manager.

This is an opportunity for a service-minded professional to work, learn, and grow with a team of dedicated technicians serving the local market in door automation service.

Service Technicians are responsible for performing service on, and installation of, automatic, manual, and revolver doors. They must maintain proper truck stock, inventory, and company vehicle. Accurate time sheet detailing, including job numbers, travel time, equipment labeling, and timely completion of door assignments, is required. The technician will interface with customers, end-users, and general contractors professionally at all times. Participation in training programs and remaining AAADM certified is expected.

Personal Protective Equipment must be worn and maintained. Work must be conducted safely and efficiently to prevent accidents to oneself, co-workers, end-users, the public, and property.

Job Requirements

- AAADM certification and experience as an automatic door service technician preferred.

- Strong electro-mechanical aptitude.

- Ability to work cooperatively, communicate effectively in writing and orally.

- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds.

- Physical ability to lift, bend, climb ladders, work on knees, and operate power tools.

- Good mechanical skills to repair electro-mechanical devices and understand electrical circuits and relay logic.

- Fluency in English is required.

- Willingness to participate in on-call rotation after certification and training.

- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

- High school diploma or GED.

- 2-4 years of experience in the automatic door industry or relevant fields such as storefront, glazing, doors, aluminum frames, electrical, glass, hardware.
