Seasonal Business Tax Expert – Intuit

Intuit is looking for a highly motivated tax professional to help our customers complete their business tax returns and advance our mission of Powering Prosperity Around the World.

You will be working with customers to prepare and file federal and state business tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations. Your role will be largely virtual, customer‑facing, and you will use Intuit’s video communication software to interact with customers while maintaining accurate interaction records.

• Prepare and file complex federal and state business tax returns (1065 and 1120‑S) for at least 20 clients per season.
• Provide tax advice and full‑service return preparation using everyday language.
• Interact with customers in a professional manner, upholding Intuit values such as integrity without compromise.
• Maintain sensitive customer and proprietary business information in a responsible, reliable, and safe manner.
• Use government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to deliver accurate answers to customers.
• Document all customer interactions in Intuit’s system to maintain accurate records.

• Strong business tax preparation experience: at least 3 years preparing federal and state business tax returns for 20+ clients per season, using commercial tax preparation software.
• Active unrestricted credential: EA (Enrolled Agent), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or Practicing Attorney.
• Minimum of 2 seasons of personal tax preparation experience: at least 30 tax returns per year in a tax practice or retail setting for compensation.
• Must be available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week, spread across three or more days.
• Bookkeeping experience with books to tax preparation is strongly preferred.
• Experience preparing business tax returns for service‑industry customers is strongly preferred.
• Must possess or be able to obtain any related state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds.
• Must possess an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).
• Commit to a minimum schedule of at least 20 hours per week (minimum 4‑hour shift increments) throughout the tax season.
• Working knowledge of Circular 230.
• Proficient with technology; solid knowledge of computer operations and software.
• Strong customer service skills – ability to interact with customers through video and audio tools in a professional, friendly, and confident manner.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Critical thinking, problem solving, research skills, and determination.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Must have (or be willing to obtain) an internet connection that meets Intuit Security criteria.

Expected base pay range varies by location. For example, Bay Area, California $40.10 – $46.20 per hour;
Southern California $40.10 – $46.20 per hour;
Colorado $38.20 – $43.90 per hour; and other regions as listed.

This position is eligible for cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits in accordance with Intuit’s plans and programs.
