Accounts Payable Analyst
The Accounts Payable Analyst oversees all aspects of the accounts payable process, including:
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Creating and managing vendor profiles
- Entering purchase requisitions and once approved, converting them into purchase orders
- Entering and applying bills against purchase orders
- Preparing payment file for review and payment
- Assisting Accounting Manager and Controller in reviewing and maintaining encumbrance journal
- Recording fixed assets and maintaining fixed asset records in Intacct
- Maintaining prepaid expense logs and recording necessary amortization entries
- Preparing annual vendor 1099s for review
- Collaborating with Staff Accountant to record and monitor employee spending
- Collaborating with departmental staff to manage P-Card program
The Accounts Payable Analyst also performs the following duties:
- Performing monthly account reconciliations
- Assisting with procurement duties in the absence of the procurement director
- Working with outside departments, organizations, and vendors to resolve outstanding issues
- Assisting in specific tasks for year-end close and various audits
- Performing additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is preferred.
- Three years’ experience working in an accounting function for a nonprofit organization or athletic business office.
- Experience with federal funding preferred
- Experience using Sage Intacct a preferred
- Knowledge and experience with fund accounting a plus
- Must pass a background check to work on a federal installation
- Must be authorized to work in the United States of America
