About the Role
Field Engineer — Heavy Civil Construction Colorado Springs, CO A leading heavy civil construction contractor in the Colorado Springs area is seeking a motivated Field Engineer to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven professional who wants to advance into a Superintendent role and build a long‑term career in the civil construction industry.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Superintendent and Project Manager in daily field operations
- Perform layout, quantity tracking, and progress reporting
- Support quality control, safety compliance, and project documentation
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and field crews to ensure schedule and production goals are met
- Contribute to problem‑solving efforts and project planning meetings
- Learn project leadership responsibilities with a clear path toward a Superintendent position
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3–4 years of field experience with heavy civil projects such as roadways, bridges, utilities, or concrete work
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and surveying principles
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- A proactive attitude and desire for professional growth
Based in Colorado Springs, with projects across the region
Hands‑on mentorship from seasoned Superintendents and Project Managers
