Position: Math Interventionist New Banning Lewis Preparatory Academy

About the Opportunity

A Math Interventionist plays a crucial role in supporting students who are struggling with Math concepts. This position involves working closely with students, teachers, and parents to identify areas of difficulty, develop personalized intervention plans, and implement strategies to improve proficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Evaluation
    • Conduct assessments to identify students' strengths and weaknesses in Math.
    • Analyze data to determine areas of need and target specific learning goals.
    • Monitor progress and adjust strategies over time.
  • Individualized Instruction
    • Provide one‑on‑one or small group instruction to students who require additional support.
    • Develop and implement personalized intervention plans tailored to learning needs.
    • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and resources to address diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Collaboration and Consultation
    • Collaborate with classroom teachers to align intervention activities with the curriculum.
    • Consult with teachers, administrators, and stakeholders to discuss progress and develop effective strategies.
    • Communicate regularly with parents to provide updates and strategies for home support.
  • Resource Development
    • Develop or adapt instructional materials and resources to support intervention activities.
    • Identify and recommend appropriate educational tools, manipulatives, and technology resources.
  • Professional Development
    • Stay informed about best practices in Math instruction and intervention strategies.
    • Participate in professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills.
    • Collaborate with colleagues to share expertise and resources for improving student achievement.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting
    • Maintain accurate records of student progress and intervention activities.
    • Prepare reports on performance and intervention outcomes for stakeholders.
    • Use data analysis to evaluate effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in education, Math, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Teaching certification/license.
  • Experience working with students in Math instruction or intervention.
  • Strong understanding of Math curriculum and instructional strategies.
  • Knowledge of assessment tools and techniques for identifying student learning needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and stakeholders.
  • Dedication to meeting the diverse academic and social‑emotional needs of all students.
  • Ability to maintain composure and performance under changing or stressful conditions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills that reflect professionalism and tact at all times.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to pass federal, state, and local background checks.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual starting salary for this position is $55,000. Benefits for full‑time positions include medical, dental, vision insurance; 401(k) retirement plan; life insurance; long‑term disability; short‑term disability; 10 paid holidays;
Colorado Family & Medical Leave; and other applicable benefits.

Paid Time Off accrues based on position length: up to 10 days for 10‑month roles, 11 days for 11‑month roles, and 15 days for 12‑month roles.
