General

Purpose:

To impart knowledge and learning skills to the children in his/her assigned class or to support administratively in a manner that meets professional standards while participating in the community of learners that is Thomas Mac Laren School.

Instruction/Curriculum

• Delivers Thomas Mac Laren curriculum as charged
• Maintains an appropriate and safe learning environment

Substitute/Student Relationships

• Enforces school policies
• Maintains discipline and good order in the classroom, in cooperation with the Head of Upper School and the Deans

• Encourages students to strive for high achievement
• Acts as an effective monitor of students when on duty (before, during, or after school, including lunch and recess)

Minimum Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university

Experience: Demonstrated ability to serve well as Thomas Mac Laren substitute.

Teaching License not required. BA required.
