Lecturer, Criminal Justice – BACJ (Pool)

OverviewUCCS is seeking a part‑time Lecturer to teach undergraduate courses in Criminal Justice. The position is part‑time (less than 50% time) and will be made semester‑by‑semester. Classes may be on‑campus, online, or hybrid.
Responsibilities- Prepare, deliver, and assess course material.
- Develop assessments (examinations, papers, learning activities) and grade assignments.
- Provide student consultation sessions during the semester.
- Maintain regular communication with the program director and staff.

- Data Analysis
- Law Enforcement
- Substance Abuse and Treatment
Minimum Qualifications:
- A master’s degree or higher in criminal justice, criminology, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
- Juris Doctorate from an ABA‑accredited law school.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous teaching experience at post‑secondary level or professional training.
- Ability to teach in multiple formats (on‑campus, online, hybrid).
- At least 5 years of applied work experience in the criminal justice system.

BenefitsEligible for paid sick leave. Salary: 1st & 2nd course $3,250 per course; 3rd & 4th course $3,450 per course; 5th course and beyond $3,750 per course.
Work LocationRemote, on‑site, or hybrid depending on class format and department needs.
