Salary/Pay Range$1,045 per credit hour, $2,090 per lab. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
Benefits:
This appointment is temporary in nature and does not include all benefits normally provided to faculty under standard University of Colorado benefits programs. Sick leave accrual is allowed at 0.034 hours per hour worked.
Location is determined by course modality:
On-campus, online, or hybrid. Remote teaching opportunities may be available under certain conditions.
The College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences (LAS) at UCCS will establish and maintain a pool of Lecturers in Physics and Energy Science to support temporary, non-tenure track appointments. Appointments are part-time (less than 50% time) and will be made semester-by-semester.
The position involves teaching various courses for Physics and Energy Science; exact courses taught will depend on departmental need. Courses may be in person or online.
This posting creates a pool of qualified individuals to teach as needs arise. Qualified applicants will be contacted as needed.
QualificationsApplicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire:
- Master’s degree in the field OR significant field experience documented by a Letter of Expertise submitted to HR in lieu of transcripts. Letters of Expertise are written by the chair of the department in which the individual will lecture.
