Field Service Engineer - Texas; Dallas

The Field Service Technician is an integral part of the Skyline Products Inc. team. Skyline Products is looking for someone who will represent the company in a highly professional, consultative and customer‑centric way. A career‑minded, self‑starting individual that has the ability to represent to a degree our Sales, Customer Service, and Engineering departments, in addition to having excellent electronic troubleshooting skills.

While also demonstrating the ability to rise to a supervisory/managerial level. Primarily, this person will provide customer support, field testing and repair of electronic dynamic message signs and traffic control systems.

• Travel to customer sites to perform onsite installation, testing and troubleshooting of dynamic message sign systems located on interstates and local roads.
• Coordinate, manage and complete assigned project work orders in a timely manner.
• Write routine trip reports, test result reports, and correspondence.
• Communicate frequently and effectively with both internal and external customers.
• Facilitate on‑site or remote training sessions.

• Team oriented, able to work well with coworkers.
• Excellent customer interfacing and communication skill.
• Minimum of one year experience in basic electronics;
  Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience in the use of multimeters measuring AC and DC voltage.
• Able to read and understand schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Proficient with MS Office.
• Basic IP network troubleshooting experience.
• Basic Linux/Unix command line experience is a plus.
• Availability to travel up to 75% to customer sites; able to travel on short notice.
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform in cold, noisy, stressful environments.
• Able to work from a bucket truck at heights up to 75 feet.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
