Logistics Specialist
Join Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) as a Logistics Specialist in the Military Fellowship Program, a partnership with Skill Bridge and Hiring Our Heroes. This fellowship provides up to six months of on‑the‑job industry training for eligible active‑duty service members, allowing participants to gain valuable civilian work experience and establish professional networks during their transition to full‑time civilian employment.
SNC’s ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leading prime integrator of manned and unmanned aircraft systems. The ISR and aviation teams deliver end‑to‑end C4
ISR capabilities encompassing design, integration, test, certification, training, and complete logistics support. IAS tailors solutions to customer requirements, consistently delivering on time and on budget.
- Currently serving as active‑duty military and eligible to participate in the DoD Skill Bridge program
- High school diploma or GED equivalent, typically 2+ years of relevant experience
- A higher‑level degree may substitute for experience
- Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
- Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills
- Basic understanding of inventory and supply‑chain/logistics principles and techniques
- Experience with inventory databases
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance (see background‑check process below)
- Familiarity with AvPro or similar aviation maintenance tracking systems
- Haz Mat training or certification
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Experience with shipping databases (Fed Ex, DHL, UPS)
- Current commercial driver’s license (CDL) and clean driving record
- Understanding of shelf life
- Background in the aerospace and defense industry, the U.S. Department of Defense, or U.S. military
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance and U.S. citizenship. Non‑U.S. citizens may not be eligible for a security clearance. Details on the background‑check process are available in the "Security Clearances" link above.
