Quality Engineer III

The Sr. Quality Engineer is responsible for providing technical expertise and support to ensure that manufacturing processes and products meet quality standards. This role involves conducting quality inspections, performing data analysis, and developing and implementing quality control plans. The Sr. Quality Engineer works closely with cross-functional teams to address quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. Additionally, this role involves training and mentoring quality staff and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

This role involves supporting corrective action implementation, verification of effectiveness, data analysis, analyzing trend data, identifying areas of improvement and conducting quality audits to verify adherence to both Xylem and industry standards.
· Work with the Continuous Improvement team on plant 5S goals
· Committed to continuous professional development, seeking out opportunities for self-improvement, and staying abreast of industry trends and best practices
· Quality engineering experience of at least 5-7 years in an ISO 9001 environment
· Experience in a fast-paced, multi-project manufacturing environment
· Electronic Quality Management Systems (eQMS) experience is required, ETQ preferred
· Experience using basic inspection tools (e.g. calipers, tape measure, thickness gauges, etc.)
· Analytical, process improvement and problem-solving skills (e.g. 5 whys, 8D, DMAIC, etc.)
· Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
· ERP system experience, SAP is preferred
· Lean/Six Sigma experience, Green belt or above certification preferred
