About the roleAs an Infrastructure Engineer, you will provide the United States Space Force (USSF) Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) for the Digital Bloodhound program. You will develop software to support Space Systems Command (SSC) Cyber Operations Branch in the rapid, agile development of defensive cyber solutions to protect, defend, and respond to both ground and space‑based cyber adversarial threats. You will lead the evaluation, selection, and lifecycle management of hardware components across the product ecosystem, serving as the authoritative expert on all hardware used within our systems.
ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a hardware‑focused engineer to:
- Lead the evaluation, selection, and lifecycle management of hardware components across our product ecosystem.
- Serve as the subject‑matter expert for hardware capabilities and constraints, guiding engineering, testing, and operations teams.
- Coordinate with product, software, Dev Sec Ops , and systems engineering teams to ensure hardware baselines align with system architecture and operational requirements.
- Support system integration and test environments (TIEs) by validating hardware/software interoperability.
- Develop and maintain hardware baselines or platform configurations.
- Participate in integration labs, test environments, or operational hardware deployments.
- Obtain Security+ within the first 90 days of employment with Raft.
- Use Dell Open Manage and other tooling.
- Bachelor's degree in Hardware Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of hardware engineering or hardware‑focused systems engineering experience.
- Strong understanding of compute hardware, network equipment, storage systems, and peripheral devices.
- Experience developing and maintaining hardware baselines or platform configurations.
- Hands‑on experience with integration labs, test environments, or operational hardware deployments.
- Experience with Dell Open Manage.
- Experience supporting DoD, Space Force, or other federal programs.
- Familiarity with Dev Sec Ops pipelines, virtualization platforms, containerized environments, and hybrid compute architectures.
- Knowledge of hardware‑relevant cybersecurity concepts (e.g., firmware security, supply‑chain risk management, hardware hardening).
- Experience with requirements management tools (Jira, Git Lab, DOORS, Confluence).
- Vendor‑specific certifications (Dell, HP, Cisco, Juniper, etc.) are a strong plus.
- Active Secret security clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
- Onsite daily in Colorado Springs, CO.
- May require up to 15% travel.
- $130,000 – $170,000.
