Engineering Technician

Advanced Technology Systems Company (ATSC) is seeking a short‑term Engineering Technician or Field Service Engineer (FSE) with an active Secret clearance to support installation and integration services in Fort Carson, CO. This position is available as either an employee or contract role and requires the FSE to be located in Fort Carson Army Base for daily operations.

• Perform a wide range of technician tasks, including cable routing, mounting, and terminations of electrical assemblies.
• Assemble and install LRUs, subcomponents, cable harnesses, and mounting brackets according to build‑to‑print drawings.
• Conduct functional verification and provide inspection reports.
• Assist with configuration audits and verify installation work.
• Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, engineering data, and reports.
• Perform wiring, soldering, and operate standard and unique test equipment.
• Maintain and understand ATSC/site documentation (parts request forms, timecards, maintenance logs, etc.).
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• At least 3 years of qualified experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Current U.S. driver’s license.
• Honorable discharge if prior U.S. military service.
• Ability to pass a detailed background investigation and possess an active Secret clearance.
• U.S. citizenship.

• Regular standing, sitting, bending, kneeling, manual dexterity, climbing stairs, speaking, hearing, and seeing required.
• Ability to lift 25–50 pounds.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
