Kratos is seeking a System Test Engineer to join an exciting team of test engineers shaping the future of a growing spacecraft ground system solution. The successful candidate will support the testing of both new and existing applications for the Command and Control Systems - Consolidated (CCS‑C) ground system as part of the CSAR program, providing quality solutions in a fast‑paced, agile software development environment.
Responsibilities- Prepare and execute formal acceptance tests and evaluate software maintenance changes.
- Determine appropriate validation and regression tests in collaboration with developers and integrators.
- Effectively communicate test status during test periods.
- Apply software CM practices.
- Support the on‑site technical advisory team with user acceptance testing and problem diagnosis (secondary responsibility).
- Show ability to communicate with team members, customers, and vendor support.
- Develop and improve operation procedures and scripts for system testing.
- Define and propose SATCOM operational and operator requirements and design approaches to satisfy them.
- Interface with customers and operational users to define operational requirements.
- Work cross‑functionally with engineering teams.
- Be a strong team player.
- Current Security+ Certification or required within 6 months of hire.
- Software testing background.
- Understanding of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
- Self‑motivated and capable of working independently and with others.
- Ability to articulate technical concepts orally and in written form.
- Current Secret level clearance required.
- Required to either obtain a TS/SCI or currently hold a TS/SCI.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in telemetry and commanding of spacecrafts and/or EPOCH Product Suite.
- Knowledge of Command and Control Consolidated (CCS‑C) system.
- Knowledge of Air Force Test Regulations and experience in Air Force formal testing is a plus.
- Current Top Secret level clearance, with SCI eligibility.
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
CompensationCompetitive salary based on experience and education. Salary Range: $80,000–$100,000
