Position: Launch Policy Specialist with Security Clearance
Overview VTG is looking for Launch Policy Specialists in Colorado Springs, CO and Los Angeles, CA. What will you do? Launch Policy Specialists (LPSs) provide strategic guidance and analytical assessments to the OSL/NRO leadership team to enable access to space for all IC missions. LPSs facilitate collaboration across civil and national security launch organizations, retain cognizance over all launch-related studies, and provide NRO/OSL leadership with assessments relevant to the mission's ability to access space.

LPSs shall possess at least General Level III (G3) qualifications (Desired:
Technical Level III (T3)). Specific tasks include:
* Provide strategic and technical assessments on a broad spectrum of programmatic, contractual, technical, and strategic issues

* Write and coordinate within OSL and NRO, inter-agency policies, memorandums of agreement, strategies, and point papers on the full range of launch-related subjects

* Support OSL representatives in interagency launch-related collaborations, assessments, boards, meetings, and summits (e.g., NASA Launch Services Program, NRO/SF/NASA Government Executive ELV Board (GEEB), Launch Collaboration Steering Group (LCSG)); includes developing and coordinating logistics, agendas, actions, issue framing, and issue papers

* Provide OSL leadership with insight into key issues, relevant decisions, and assessments

* Develop policy, plans, roadmaps, and governance documentation to support OSL compliance with and implementation of U.S. space policy, NRO governance, policies, plans, and roadmaps

* Develop and coordinate responses to TIER actions

* Develop and coordinate point papers and background papers for leadership

* Develop and maintain OSL launch metrics, tracking launch success and launch timeliness; provide annual metrics to the BPO for inclusion in budget submissions

* Develop assessments on special topics at the direction of the government

* Support OSL representatives to the NRO Office of Space Policy in inter-agency/inter-IC working groups and national space transportation policy meetings/activities

* Assess effects of Headquarters or external agency policy, procedures, and reporting changes Do you have what it takes? Position requires a current and active TS/SCI with Poly;
Years experience can be subsituted as follows: 5 YEARS EXP = ASSOCIATES 10 YEARS EXP = BACHELORS 15 YEARS EXP = MASTERS Ability to:

* Develop assessments on special topics at the direction of the government

* Support OSL representatives to the NRO Office of Space Policy in inter-agency/inter-IC working groups and national space transportation policy meetings/activities Pay Range: VTG's estimated starting pay range is $115, annually, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range
