Billing and Payroll Specialist

We are seeking a full‑time Billing Specialist to support the finance function for four offices in two states, handling a variety of tasks related to accounting, billing, and payroll.

• Process incoming payment checks and remittance advices, and distribute payments using remote deposit device and software.
• Post payments and perform collections functions for the Temporary Staffing business line.
• Create weekly eligibility batches (Medicaid and Commercial) and distribute results.
• Cross‑train on Medicaid billing to fill in during biller absences.
• Perform additional billing tasks supporting all payer types, including self‑pay, insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid.
• Assist the payroll coordinator with the weekly payroll process and other weekly and monthly payroll tasks.
• Produce various weekly and monthly employee statistics reports.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Prior billing experience required.
• Prior payroll experience preferred.
• Experience creating reports and databases in Microsoft Excel.
• Medical office experience preferred. Proved organization skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure with changing priorities and short deadlines.
