Position: ADMISSIONS CLINICIAN All Shifts

Responsibilities

  • Screening of applicants begins immediately and continues until the position is filled
  • Now offering $5,000.00-$8,000.00 bonus for licensed professionals, varies by licensure and experience
  • Conduct crisis evaluations, preauthorization requests, and coordinate admissions to Cedar Springs
  • Answer phone calls, conduct mental health evaluations, evaluate for involuntary commitments, make clinical recommendations for optimal level of care referrals and community adjustment
  • Coordinate with community providers and referral sources, and facilitate internal admissions to Cedar Springs programs
  • Perform vitals, breathalyzer tests and temperature on each potential patient at time of evaluation
  • Immediate consideration for overnight schedules

COVID-19 Vaccination Mandate

In accordance with Colorado state public health order, all healthcare workers must be vaccinated and the Company must verify vaccine status. Pursuant to this public health order, the following modes constitute as proof of vaccination: an electronic entry in the Colorado Immunization Information System (CIIS) or an immunization record from a licensed healthcare provider who has administered a COVID-19 vaccine to an individual who provides services for the facility or agency, specifying the vaccine administered, name and title of the person who administered the vaccine, address of the location where the vaccine was administered, and the date it was administered.

A COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card issued by the Department of Health and Human Services Centers for Disease Control & Prevention or WHO Yellow Card which includes name of person vaccinated, type of vaccine provided, and date last dose administered would suffice.

Exemptions
  • Workers may be exempt from the vaccination requirements by providing a signed exemption form indicating one of the following:
    Religious Beliefs or Qualifying Medical Reason.
  • To be eligible for a Religious Beliefs exemption, the worker must provide a written statement describing the worker’s sincerely held religious beliefs and how those beliefs conflict with Colorado’s public health order requiring certain healthcare workers to be fully vaccinated. The company may request supporting documentation to further evaluate the request for religious accommodation.
  • To be eligible for a Qualified Medical Reason exemption, the worker must provide a written statement signed by a physician, physician assistant, advanced practice nurse, or certified nurse midwife licensed in the State of Colorado stating that the COVID-19 vaccination for the employee, direct contractor, or support staff is medically contraindicated as described in the product labeling or authorized by the FDA.

    This statement should not describe the underlying medical condition or disability but should indicate the probable duration of the inability to receive the vaccine.
  • A record of signed exemption forms and statements submitted in support of the exemption request must be maintained in a confidential HR Medical file, separate from the Personnel File.
  • Qualifications

    Requirements: requires analytical skills, high level clinical skills, and knowledge of mental health statutes, ethical and legal practice implications. Requires knowledge and understanding of EMTALA regulations and state requirements for involuntary commitments.
