Peak Vista Community Health Centers is a nonprofit health care organization whose mission is to provide exceptional health care to people facing access barriers through clinical programs and education. We provide integrated health care services including medical, dental, and behavioral health through our 20 outpatient health centers. We deliver care with our strong "Hospitality" culture. Our service area covers 14 counties, from the front range to the Kansas border, with locations throughout Colorado Springs, Fountain, Divide, Limon, and Strasburg. Peak Vista is accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, Inc. (AAAHC).
$21.43 to $31.07 per hour based on experience. Additional $2.00 shift differential included.
A $1000 sign on bonus will be paid in the following manner$300 payout upon 30 days of employment, $300 payout upon 90 days of employment, and $400 payout upon one year of employment. Current employees are not eligible for the sign on bonus.
Loyalty Bonus$1200 upon 1 year of service and then a $300 payout for every additional 3 months worked. This applies to only full‑time employees. The amount will be prorated for part‑time employees.

The main site for this role is 340 Printers Parkway, Colorado Springs, CO 80910. This position will float across multiple clinics in the Colorado Springs area.
Job SummaryThe Medical Assistant Float provides patient care under the direction of a licensed healthcare provider. Schedules appointments and performs the necessary intake functions for arriving patients, assists in questions, directs telephone calls, and other patient service duties. Performs routine clinical and administrative duties in support of provider, patient, and assigned area. The Medical Assistant contributes to the success of the clinic by ensuring the quality of care provided to the patient.
This role requires flexibility as it involves working at multiple Peak Vista locations in Colorado Springs.
- Float at our Health Center at Printers Parkway and have the opportunity to float to various Peak Vista locations in Colorado Springs.
- Check email and phone communication daily and respond to communications per Peak Vista policy.
- Schedule appointments and perform the necessary intake functions for arriving patients.
- Complete MA competency skills check within 90 days of hire and all ongoing required competencies, trainings, and assessments.
- Work at other Peak Vista locations as requested.
- Orient/support new staff as requested.
- Assist in the coordination of providing quality patient care.
- Attend all required Peak Vista meetings.
- Actively promote and participate in clinic team‑based care model.
- Support providers in delivering medical care, assisting with patient procedures as needed.
- Ensure patient treatment areas are clean, organized, and follow Peak Vista safety and compliance standards.
- Demonstrate knowledge of and adherence to the Compliance Plan and conflict of interest requirements; contribute to departmental performance improvement goals.

Education, Certification, Licensure- Registered/Certified Medical Assistant; current CPR (BLS) certification required.
- Applicant must be at least 21 years of age or older to be an eligible driver on behalf of Peak Vista.
- Valid Colorado driver’s license and proof of insurance.
- Must meet and maintain driver criteria as prescribed by Peak Vista’s insurance underwriter.
- Relevant healthcare experience preferred.
