Talem Home Care is seeking caring, compassionate, reliable, and hard‑working individuals to join our team as Personal Care Providers in Colorado Springs and surrounding areas. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are looking to get their foot in the healthcare field and gain hands‑on experience while making a meaningful difference in others’ lives. As a Personal Care Provider, you’ll provide unskilled personal care and household services for clients in their homes.

Responsibilities include assisting with household chores, personal hygiene, and providing companionship to help ensure clients’ homes are clean, safe, and organized. We offer flexible a part‑time schedule to work around your current schedule. We are currently looking for overnights and weekend caregivers!

The Personal Care Provider provides unskilled personal care and household services for the client in their home. This person is integral in serving as a companion as well as ensuring our clients’ space is clean, safe, and organized. You'd be able to support someone in your neighborhood and see the difference your care makes every day.

• Observes and maintains home environment to ensure the safety and security of the client;
• Assists with household chores including cooking, meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry;
• Assists in completing activities such as shopping and appointments outside the home;
• Provides companionship including, but not limited to, social interaction, conversation, emotional reassurance, encouragement of reading, writing, and mind-stimulating activities;
• Performs or assists the client with personal hygiene, including bathing, hair care, mouth care, and dressing, when skilled skin care, skilled transfer, or skilled dressing is not required.
• Maintains timely service records of home visits;
• Attends and participates in appropriate client care conferences, staff and education meetings, and agency committee meetings.

• Valid, current driver's license and access to a reliable automobile
• Must be at least 18yrs old
• One year or more personal care experience in a home care setting preferred

include but are not limited to:

• Able to stand, kneel, bend at knees, and squat throughout the day.
• Ability to safely assist clients in and out of a vehicle and safely lift a wheelchair or walker weighing up to 50lbs into and out of a vehicle.
• Physical ability to lift and transfer clients
• Use arms, legs, feet, hands, and fingers to assist clients with performing tasks of daily living.
• Frequently move the whole body to perform tasks such as lifting, light housekeeping, walking, and driving.
• Sitting for long periods of time
• Ability to see and hear well (naturally or with correction)
