Guest Room Attendant Housekeeping
Pay Rate: $16.92 per hour.

As a member of our Housekeeping team, this position will supervise employees working within the Housekeeping operation and will conduct daily room inspections while ensuring that Departmental and Hotel policies and procedures are followed, and that cleanliness and service standards are maintained.

- Interact with guests by meeting the 16 Service Standards set by the hotel.
- Remove bedspreads, fold and place on closet shelf/luggage rack/bench.
- Remove all trash.
- Dust all surfaces.
- Vacuum all carpeted areas.
- Sweep and wash all hard floor surfaces.
- Pull furniture in guestroom as directed.
- Scrub all bathroom fixtures and floor with appropriate solution.
- Close windows, drapes, blinds and shades.
- Empty trashcans, clean ashtrays, remove empty bottles and dirty dishes.
- Pick up and organize guest shoes, clothes, newspapers, etc.
- Strip/make and turn down beds on a daily basis.
- Remove soiled bathroom linen and replace with clean.
- Replenish guest’s supplies as necessary.
- Report maintenance problems to housekeeping office.
- Stock work cart at end of shift and clean and organize linen closet.
- Use telephone to identify completion of service.
- Clean patios and patio furniture.
- Order supplies for area of responsibility.
- Perform major housecleaning annually.
- General cleaning of public areas as needed.
- Deliver guest request items.
- Perform lobby attendant duties as needed.
- Willingness to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
- Uphold and abide by all Broadmoor policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED; one to three years related experience and/or training; prior Housekeeping supervisory and hospitality experience desired.
- Ability to directly and indirectly supervise up to 30 employees within scope of responsibility. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and an aptitude to effectively utilize specified devices and related technology for operational excellence.
- Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic team member who works well with others.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Occasional heavy lifting (up to 100 lbs. with assistance) with a work environment that may be indoors and outdoors le performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.
