Overview

SAIC is seeking a motivated, goal-oriented, results-driven Dev Sec Ops  Platform Engineer to join our team to deliver an Enterprise Management solution for Satellite Communications (SATCOM) and revolutionize the way the DoD delivers software. The scope and seniority of the role will be determined by the relevant experience and demonstrated mastery of the applicant. • Design, implement, and manage secure cloud infrastructure solutions (AWS, Azure).
• Automate cloud resource rollout using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines with security best practices (Git Hub Actions, Git Lab CI/CD).
• Help with release management and deployment of microservices in a Kubernetes environment (AWS EKS, Azure AKS). Maintain and enhance helm charts for deployment of Docker-based microservices.
• Enhance logging, monitoring, and alerting capabilities using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or ELK Stack.
• Ensure compliance with industry security standards and frameworks (NIST 800-171).
• Help with vulnerability assessments, security monitoring, and incident response automation.
• Work with developers to implement secure coding practices and application security testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize cloud costs, security, and performance.
• Develop documentation and training materials to promote Dev Sec Ops  culture across the organization.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Dev Ops, Security, or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Proficiency with cloud security best practices.
• Proficiency with CI/CD principles and tools.
• Proficiency with administering Linux-based operating systems.
• Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash).
• Proficiency with git-based development workflows and pipelines.
• Experience with security tools such as SAST, DAST, SIEM, and IDS/IPS.
• Proficient working in Agile teams and associated tools (JIRA, etc.).
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Must have a Secret Clearance.

• Top Secret clearance.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Golang, JavaScript.
• Knowledge of SQL and experience with database management.
• Knowledge of IAM, RBAC, and Zero Trust security models.
• Security certifications (CISSP, CISM, OSCP, AWS/Azure Security).
• Experience with serverless architectures and microservices security.

Target salary range $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
