Location: Colorado Springs, CO | Type: Full-Time | Clearance: TS/SCI – SAP Eligible

Note: This position is part of an active proposal effort and are contingent upon contract award.

Overview

Dark Star Intelligence is seeking a Senior Operations Planner who will provide subject matter expertise and operational support to HQ SpOC/S35D. Supports capability integration, system fielding, readiness tracking, and planning processes across program life cycles. Engages with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate requirements, operational concepts, resource strategies, and basing initiatives, while contributing to operational planning teams, system reviews, and senior leadership briefings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive staff support including task response, document review and development, training plan validation, and SAP policy integration
  • Serve as Deputy Task Lead (TL) and assume TL's responsibilities as needed; support operational transition, sustainment, and disposition of advanced concepts including demos, prototypes, and Rapid Reaction Capabilities; develop Operating/Transition Acceptance criteria and assist with follow-on acquisition and sustainment planning; provide technical recommendations and support for STO planning, DOTMLPF development, and rapid capability fielding; participate in CFP-FP, ICT, OPTs, and operational acceptance panels
  • Coordinate leadership preparation for joint, service-level, and Congressional engagements related to advanced concepts and space control missions
  • Monitor unit readiness status and ensure compliance with DRRS requirements; update taskers and Mission Directives
  • Review and support development of System Training Plans (STPs) and training documentation for SEW systems; ensure compliance with HQ SpOC guidance
  • Provide SME support for space EW weapon systems across operations, training, deployment, logistics, readiness, and basing activities in expanding AORs; support contingency planning and coordination of taskers
  • Develop and recommend SEW system and force structure requirements, coordinate POM inputs and spend plans, and engage with U.S. and international stakeholders through regular high-level interactions; support frequent domestic and international travel
Minimum Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance; SAP eligibility
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in operations planning within military, space, or IC environments, including at least 5 years in a leadership role supporting large, joint, or interagency operations.
  • PMP or equivalent program/project management certification preferred; relevant operational planning or joint professional military education (JPME) certification highly desirable
