Cloud Engineer​/Systems Engineer

Will actively support the migration of client applications to a Cloud Environment using Amazon Web Services, starting with Non-Prod platforms and progressing to Production. Will implement and manage continuous delivery systems and methodologies on AWS, including day-to-day configuration management and system management tasks associated with the applications and migration effort. Work as part of the Configuration Management (CM) team to handle configuration, deployment, automation, patching, backups, and other related tasks as needed.

This role requires interaction with several teams such as development, operations, and release management. Responsibilities include supporting production issue triage for migrated applications, supporting production release deployment, and participating in disaster recovery planning, configuration, and execution.

• Good working knowledge of Amazon Web Services
• Knowledge of Bare Metal Cloud Services is a plus
• 5+ years of experience in system and network administration
• Experience in Dev Ops implementation
• Experience in SOLR configuration and implementation
• Experience with scripting (Unix shell scripts, Perl, Python, etc.)
• Knowledge of SSH, NFS, DNS, LDAP, Kerberos, and other common system administration protocols
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work occasional off-hours and be part of a 24x7 on-call rotation
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
