The Armed Forces Skill Bridge program is an opportunity for Service members to gain valuable civilian work experience through specific industry training, apprenticeships, or internships during the last 180 days of service.

This internship will be located at Schriever SFB, Colorado Springs, CO or Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL depending on the position. If you are outside of these areas this will require relocation to the location the internship will be at.

Skill Bridge fellows will not be eligible for any compensation during their fellowship, as they will continue to receive all military pay and benefits. Upon successful completion of this fellowship, you will be well prepared and encouraged to apply for open positions listed on our careers page.

• To have served at least 180 days in any of the U.S. Armed Forces.
• To be within 180 days of separation or retirement from any of the U.S. Armed Forces (you may start your application prior to the 180 days).
• Must be on track to receive an Honorable Discharge.
• Must have taken any service TAPS/TGPS.
• Must have attended or participated in an ethics brief within the last 12 months.
• Must have command approval to participate in the DoD Skill Bridge program.

• An active DoD security clearance.
• DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II certification or higher (Security+CE, GSEC or similar).
