Please note that this position is contingent upon the successful award of a contract currently under bid.
Nisga'a CIOPS provides hands‑on experienced services to civilian and DoD programs worldwide. Delivering highly skilled, cleared personnel who provide services on five continents for a portfolio of customers.
Summary:
The Network Administrator will assist in the development and maintenance of network communications. Uses knowledge of LAN/WAN systems to help design and install internal and external networks. Tests and evaluates network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements.
ResponsibilitiesEssential Job Functions:
- Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Performs various Tier I and Tier II service desk duties.
- Assist in the design, installation, and configuration of LAN/WAN infrastructure and network hardware.
- Support the maintenance and monitoring of network systems to ensure high availability and performance.
- Conduct network testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve connectivity or performance issues.
- Collaborate with senior network engineers and IT staff to implement network improvements and upgrades.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date network documentation, including diagrams and configuration records.
- Provide technical support for network‑related service requests and incidents.
- Participate in the evaluation of new networking technologies and tools.
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
- Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Basic understanding of network protocols, routing and switching, and LAN/WAN technologies.
- Familiarity with network hardware such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least 4 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- IAT Level II Certification
- Must have active TS/SCI
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience working in federal or defense environments.
- Industry standard technical and network certifications.
The salary range for this position is $88,000.00 to $99,000.00 annually.
