Colorado Springs Utilities is hiring a Data Analyst to join our team as we mature and expand analytics, digital transformation, and business process automation in our organization. Please note the job is in-office during the probation period (typically 6 months). After completion of the probationary period, a hybrid schedule may be available based on applicable personnel policy.

What will you be doing?
  • Analyzing and interpreting complex datasets and preparing visuals to inform decision‑making
  • Gathering requirements and information from stakeholders to be able to pull, transform, model, and analyze data to achieve desired outcomes or address critical questions
  • Harvesting and cleaning data to ensure the accuracy of results and information
  • Delivering high‑value solutions with minimal supervision
  • Communicating results from analyses to non‑technical audiences in ways that ensure understanding
  • Ensuring compliance with data privacy, security regulations, and best practices
Who You Are:
  • Highly qualified candidates will bring 4 or more years of experience analyzing business needs and building solutions that deliver value
  • Experience with the Microsoft Power Platform is valued
  • Experience with Power BI, other data visualization and reporting software is valued
  • Experience with ETL principles and data architecture concepts
  • Delivering projects in scope and on schedule with minimal supervision
  • Solid understanding of structured and unstructured data concepts
  • Experience with basic project management fundamentals (gathering requirements, scoping out work that needs to be performed, and delivering results)
  • Experience with iterative development processes
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS /

WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a small amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
