Overview
The Bussey Law Firm is a respected and results-driven personal injury law firm with a reputation for delivering exceptional legal representation and securing significant outcomes for clients. With a strong commitment to client advocacy, we are expanding our team and looking for a passionate Personal Injury Attorney with proven litigation experience to join our growing practice. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced attorney to manage a caseload of personal injury matters, from pre-litigation through trial.
The ideal candidate is confident in the courtroom, skilled in research, writing, and legal strategy, and dedicated to achieving the best results for clients.
- Analyze client needs, identify solutions, and determine case strategies
- Complete legal research and prepare motions, pleadings, and briefs
- Manage a docket of personal injury cases from intake through resolution
- Prepare demands, motions, discovery requests/responses, and other legal documents
- Conduct depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials
- Develop a case strategy and advise clients accordingly
- Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and insurance carriers
- Supervise support staff as necessary (e.g., paralegals, case managers)
- Maintain accurate and timely case records using legal case management software
- Strong knowledge of legal research programs such as Westlaw and Lexis products is required
- Candidates must currently be a member of their local bar association - active member preferred
- Communication, problem-solving, decision-making, interpersonal, and public speaking skills required
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in Colorado and in good standing
- Minimum of 3–5 years of litigation experience, preferably in personal injury
- Demonstrated trial and courtroom experience
- Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment with little supervision
- Client-focused, ethical, and driven to achieve justice
Compensation: $110,000 - $140,000 per year
