Responsibilities- Guide clients through the probate process, ensuring clarity and confidence at every step. (This includes guardian ships and conservatorships).
- Represent clients in probate litigation, advocating for their interests with diligence and integrity.
- Draft, review, and finalize legal documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Colorado laws.
- Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and provide informed counsel.
- Work closely with our team to foster a supportive and collaborative environment, enhancing client outcomes.
- Participate in community outreach to educate and empower individuals about estate planning and elder law issues.
- Help solve legal problems for clients through analyzing the situation, understanding their needs, and creating a strategic plan of action
- Prepare wills, trusts, and power of attorney documents
- Collaborate with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move files through the civil litigation process
- Ensure clients are effectively represented at court hearings as needed
- Organize and maintain client files to ensure they are kept current
- Knowledge of case management software programs, particularly Smokeball, is a plus.
- Understanding of a variety of real estate matters, including title insurance, wills and trusts, property management, and litigation
- Undergraduate degree with a legal background and Juris Doctor degree required
- Excellent communication skills, especially in highly stressful and emotional situations
- Experience at a legal firm working on estate planning and probate law issues for at least 1-2 years is required
$80,000 - $90,000 yearly
