Responsibilities
- Assist attorney in preparation of immigrant and nonimmigrant visa petitions
- Draft, review, and prepare legal documents for visa types such as E-1, E-2, E-3, H-1B, L-1, O-1, TN, EB-1, EB-2, EB-3, I-140, PERM Labor Certification (ETA-9089), AOS (Adjustment of Status), N-400 Naturalization filings, and family-based Adjustment of Status filings
- Manage a caseload of visa matters utilizing case management software
- Communicate regularly with clients regarding procedural and case processing issues
- Analyze case documents and prepare immigration applications for filing and RFE Responses
- Draft petitions, applications, and specialized support letters detailing eligibility for visa classification
- Learn procedural and processing requirements for various types of visa petitions
- Conduct legal research on immigration regulations and procedures
- Work closely in team environment, while building knowledge of firm and client processes, and Contribute to the efficient and effective operation of the firm’s workflow
- Bachelors degree (or equivalent)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a professional immigration environment
- Demonstrated client service focus
- Excellent oral, writing, research, organizational, and proofreading skills
- Able to work under a deadline
