Description
Northrop Grumman invites you to join our Space Sector where revolutionary systems impact people's lives worldwide. As a Contracts Administration Manager – Manager Level 1, you will be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one. You will lead a portfolio of major programs and the supporting contracts team to act as the primary interface with customers and business partners in conducting proposal preparation, contract negotiation, and contract administration.
You will oversee successful proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
- Direct management, oversight, and career development of a team of Contract Administrators.
- Identify, develop, and recommend risk mitigation strategies.
- Develop solutions to complex management, contracts, pricing, and property concerns.
- Advise management of contractual rights and obligations, including reviewing and approving contractual documents.
- Achieve targeted profit rates and favorable terms and conditions to assist in meeting profit and cash goals.
- Provide direction based upon the contract requirements and change management discipline.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years’ experience working in Contracts Administration – OR – Master’s degree with 3 years’ experience. Will consider an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of degree.
- Contracts Administration experience and working knowledge of the FAR, DFARS or government acquisition regulations.
- Background in DoD contracting, prior experience with the USG and/or major defense contractor customers.
- Experience negotiating and administering different contract types of varying sizes, and supplemental agreements.
- Experience with MS Office, including MS Excel.
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD security clearance.
- MBA or JD.
- Active U.S. Government DoD Secret or Top-Secret security clearance, current and within scope.
- Experience training and mentoring staff.
- 1+ year(s) of people leadership or supervisory experience.
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively.
- Strong leadership experience.
- Strategic thinker.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
