Welder Helper

Welder Helper – Skyline Products is seeking a Welder Helper for the day shift.

Monday-Friday 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Starting at $18 an hour.

Assists welders by setting up rigs, moving them between work areas, ensuring required materials and tools are available, managing stock levels, attending safety meetings, and maintaining cleanliness.

• Attend on-site safety meetings
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas
• Assist welders to set up rigs and move them between work areas
• Ensure welders have required materials and tools available, such as rods and grinding discs
• Maintain stock levels of materials and supplies
• Load and unload trucks
• Follow welders’ instructions to adjust welding machine temperatures
• Employ buffers and grinders to clean welds
• Maintain knowledge of various types of metal
• Operate various tools and equipment
• Identify safety risks and hazards, and comply with relevant safety procedures and regulations

• 6+ months work experience in a similar role
• Proficient knowledge of welding
• Basic English reading and writing skills
• Physically strong, agile, and dexterous
• Ability to work in a standing position for extended hours
• Resilient to working in adverse climatic conditions
