Manufacturing Production Operator - Test

Overview

Samtec is looking for a Manufacturing Production Operator to work in our test group. The position is for first shift in our Colorado Springs, CO location. The first shift hours are Monday through Friday 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

• Prepare optical engines for testing processes and handle engines from trays to testers, and distribute failures from passing products.
• Maintain the highest quality production standards and a professional working demeanor.
• Work in a clean environment and communicate effectively with co-workers (written and verbal).
• Read and comprehend work instructions; build orders according to information/specifications on blueprints and PICS.
• Understand equipment and tooling used in the assembly process; use a microscope for extended periods; maintain lean workflow.
• Be detail-oriented and offer ideas for process and tooling improvements.

• One year of production/manufacturing experience.
• Willingness to adhere to safety rules; may be exposed to noise and hazardous materials, requiring protective gear.

• Steady hands; good hand/eye coordination; ability to sit/stand for at least 90 minutes.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

On-the-job training as appropriate.
