Responsibilities

Minimum Hourly Rate: $37.00 Maximum Hourly Rate: $50.00

SCREENING FOR THIS POSITION WILL CONTINUE UNTIL THE POSITION IS FILLED.

The PRN Registered Nurse is responsible for the coordination and supervision of direct patient care and program implementation for residents/patients in acute care and residential programs. Assesses patient/resident needs and coordinates/implements delivery of quality nursing care as prescribed by Treatment Team/Physician. Provides safety and crisis management for patient populations and ensures a safe and therapeutic environment.

Requirements: Knowledge and experience of nursing care and interventions with psychiatric patients. Knowledgeable of psychotropic medications, potential side effects, and psychiatric diagnoses. Ability to direct others in delivery of services, organize multiple simultaneously, and problem solve under a fast paced environment. Ability to safely implement special treatment procedures. Ability to delegate responsibility to others and assure completion of shift duties. Skill in developing therapeutic relationships with clients of all ages, and work as a member of a treatment team.

Experience/

Education:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Previous experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting is preferred. Minimum one-year inpatient psychiatric nursing experience is preferred for PRN status. Current Colorado Registered Nurse (or Compact Licensure) license is required. Some positions may require a valid Colorado Driver’s license. CPR certification is also required.
