Position Summary:

The Program Nurse dispenses prescribed medication as part of a treatment team in partnership with Physicians and Nursing Supervisors. The nurse also shares responsibility for maintaining dispensing equipment, managing medication inventory, and reporting patient treatment information. This position will work at the Colorado Springs & Pueblo locations.

• Accurately dispensing prescribed medications
• Performing efficient and effective daily operations of the clinic pharmacy and ensuring security and inventory accuracy of controlled substances
• Consulting patients regarding their medication regimen
• Assisting the medical director in all areas of patient care, including physicals, bloodwork, procuring lab specimens, and recording test results
• Maintaining reports as required by state and federal regulations

• Current and in-good-standing LPN/RN license in the state of application; current CPR certification required
• Computer proficiency desired
• Experience in chemical dependency preferred; self-motivated with a positive attitude toward individuals in substance abuse treatment

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer; may require standing, moving, and bending
• Occasional lifting/carrying, up to 20 lbs
• Occasional push/pull exerting up to 5-10 lbs; opening doors and filing
• Occasional kneeling, crouching, and reaching lower file drawers

Position requires constant mental alertness, attention to detail, and high accuracy in completing assignments. Must be able to follow oral and written instructions and follow through on all tasks.
