Travel Nurse Source  is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Denver, Colorado, 80228!

BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: NIHSS experience, ability to titrate drips

Description:

Hiring Process includes an interview with the clinical team. Candidate will have a ratio of 1 nurse to 2 patients. Common diagnoses include abdominal pain, chest pain, fever, cough, dyspnea, headache, injury, and extremity pain. Nurses are required to titrate drips, including vasopressors, inotropes, sedatives, and analgesics. Charge nurse does take an assignment. There are no nurse aides on the unit.

A hospitalist or intensivist is in-house. Respiratory therapy is available 24/7. Equipment in use includes CPAP, BiPAP, high flow oxygen, and vents. There are no tele/monitor techs on this unit, and RNs are required to read their own strips. Self-scheduling and block scheduling are allowed. Full-time and part-time employees are expected to self-schedule a minimum of six weekend shifts per six-week schedule.

Holiday requirements must be met. Call or standby requirements are determined by the nursing management framework. Floating responsibilities are based on nursing management needs. Dress code includes navy blue scrubs. Cancellation policy allows for the cancellation of up to four shifts per 13-week assignment. The charting system used is EPIC. A BSN is not required. Trauma Level and Care Setting are classified as acute.
