Plasma Processor

Position Overview

Plasma Processor (Customer Service). Pay range: $16.20‑20.70 per hour, depending on training, education and experience.

Eligible to participate in up to 5% of the company bonus pool. Benefits include medical, paid time off, up to 5% 401(k) match, and tuition reimbursement.

• Collect and process donor samples for processing and testing.
• Record weight of product and samples.
• Label samples and freeze units for final packing within required timeframe.
• Pack units for final shipment; pack samples and prepare shipping box to send to the testing lab.
• Monitor stored products and report working conditions of equipment.

• Comfortable working in extreme temperatures.
• Experience handling responsibilities in operational areas of a plasma center such as maintaining donor files, shipping, and inventory control.

Work is performed in a plasma center. Exposure to biological fluids with potential exposure to infectious organisms, electrical office and laboratory equipment, and extreme cold below 32 °F while working in a plasma freezer. Personal protective equipment is required such as protective eyewear, garments, gloves, and cold‑gear. Work is performed standing for 4–6 hours per day, with bending and twisting of neck and waist for 1–2 hours, frequent hand movements, and light lifting of 15 lbs.

Occasionally lifting 25–35 lbs up to 1–2 hours, with a maximum lift of 50 lbs. May reach below shoulder height. Hearing acuity and visual requirements: correctable to 20/30 in one eye and 20/100 in the other eye.
