Sales Floor Dept Supervisor - Appliances-Cabinets-Millwork
Sales Floor Department Supervisor for the Appliances‑Cabinets‑Millwork department. All Lowe’s associates deliver quality customer service while maintaining a store that is clean, safe, and stocked with the products our customers need. In this role, you will lead and enable a team of associates to deliver the best possible customer experience in the store.
What You Will Do- Provide resources and tools to support associates who directly help customers.
- Assist with down‑stocking, area recovery, and provide input into merchandising decisions.
- Monitor use of store power equipment and coach employees on safe behaviors and lifting techniques.
- Coach and train associates, delegate daily tasks, manage performance, and ensure adequate department coverage.
- Lead customer‑facing activities such as greeting customers, clarifying needs, identifying solutions, and closing sales.
- Perform non‑customer‑facing tasks such as inventory management and store safety walks.
- Supervise associates in other departments as needed, including opening or closing the store or serving as manager‑on‑duty.
Travel Requirements:
The role does not require regular travel; however, you may need to travel on occasion for meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores.
- Hourly, full‑time (typically 39–40 hours per week; more hours may be required).
- Available morning, afternoon, and evening, any day of the week.
- Physical ability to stand, sit, and perform tasks for extended periods and lift at least 25 pounds without assistance (may lift over 25 pounds with or without assistance).
- High School Diploma or equivalent and either 3 years of experience in a retail environment or 5 years of experience in a retail environment.
- 1 year of customer‑service experience.
- 1 year of experience supporting the unique needs of Pro customers (for Pro Department Supervisor).
- Experience providing direction or supervision to teams (with or without direct reports).
- Experience in training, mentoring, and developing associates.
- Experience working cross‑functionally.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to obtain sales‑related licensure or registration as may be required by law.
- 3 years of retail customer‑service experience.
- 3 years of experience supporting the unique needs of Pro customers (Pro Department Supervisor).
- Experience in a leadership role with direct report responsibility.
- Experience working in the home‑improvement retail sector.
- Experience in a fast‑paced, dynamic retail environment.
- Experience in key carrying role with manager‑on‑duty responsibilities.
- Experience using store computer systems (Project Tool, Genesis, Sterling, M2O, Thin Client, etc.).
Pay Range: $21.75 – $23.50 per hour. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including but not limited to position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
