Your best work probably won’t happen behind a desk.

As a Dealer Development Officer at Air Academy Credit Union
, you’ll spend most of your time in the market building relationships with automotive dealers from Pueblo to Greeley. You’ll learn what matters to each dealership, help them understand where AACU financing fits, and turn consistent follow-through into more opportunities to serve current and future members.

This is primarily a business-development role, with approximately 75% of your time focused on building dealer relationships and growing business and 25% focused on reporting, documentation, dealer administration, and operational support
.

If you like opening doors, building trust over time, and seeing your relationships turn into measurable results, this could be a strong next move.

What You’ll Do Build the Business | Approximately 75% of the Role
  • Build, strengthen, and grow relationships with new and existing automotive dealers throughout your assigned territory.
  • Spend consistent time in the market visiting dealerships, learning how they operate, and identifying opportunities for AACU to earn more applications and funded contracts.
  • Prospect for new dealer relationships and help approved dealers get onboarded, activated, and engaged with AACU’s indirect lending programs.
  • Build an outreach plan for your dealer relationships, including regular visits, calls, follow-ups, reactivation efforts, and relationship reviews.
  • Help dealers understand AACU’s lending programs, requirements, updates, and the ways our financing can make the vehicle-buying process easier for their customers.
  • Work toward production, growth, dealer-development, and portfolio-quality goals while supporting sound lending practices.
  • Use dealer activity and market information to spot trends, identify opportunities, and recognize relationships that may need more attention.
  • Respond quickly when dealers need help and coordinate with underwriting, funding, processing, and lending leadership to keep issues moving toward a resolution.
  • Represent AACU at dealerships, industry events, community activities, and other business-development opportunities.
  • Build long-term partnerships by communicating clearly, following through on commitments, and being someone dealers know they can count on.
Keep the Details Moving | Approximately 25% of the Role
  • Keep dealer contact information, visit notes, pipeline activity, and follow-up commitments accurate and current.
  • Track and report on dealer outreach, applications, funded volume, relationship activity, and progress toward goals.
  • Coordinate dealer setup, due diligence, documentation, annual reviews, and other relationship-maintenance activities.
  • Help resolve documentation, funding, service, and operational issues by connecting dealers with the right AACU lending partners.
  • Support loan and portfolio quality by communicating requirements, identifying recurring concerns, and escalating issues when needed.
  • Complete required training, expense reporting, timekeeping, and other administrative responsibilities accurately and on time.
  • Follow AACU policies and procedures and applicable requirements related to lending, fair lending, privacy, and the Bank Secrecy Act.
You’ll Thrive Here If
  • You like building business. Prospecting, opening doors, strengthening relationships, and turning consistent outreach into measurable growth energizes you.
