Launch Security Operations Specialist

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking Launch Security Operations Specialists to join our team in Cape Canaveral, Florida;
Vandenberg Space Force Base, California; and Colorado Springs, Colorado.

As a Launch Security Operations Specialist (LSOS) at MTSI, you will provide overall security operations support for all launch‑related activities. This includes Space Vehicle (SV) transportation and processing, SV/Launch Vehicle (LV) integration, launch base operations, monitoring and operation of security and payload processing facility systems, and general security requirements and implementation. LSOS may require specialized training.

Entry‑level specialist possessing some knowledge of launch base and facility systems, and security operations.

• General understanding of launch operations, computer‑based security, life safety and facility controls systems, security operations, and emergency response functions.

Mid‑level specialist with working knowledge of launch operations, SV transportation, payload processing facility systems, and security operations with only general supervision.

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Working understanding of launch operations, computer‑based security, life safety and payload processing facility controls systems.
• Working understanding of alarm/event notification processes, communication, and documentation.
• Working understanding of launch security operations, visitor control processes, AT/FP measures, government property accountability, and emergency response functions.

Senior‑level specialist with proven knowledge of launch operations, SV transportation, payload processing facility systems, and security operations without supervision.

• Minimum 5 years of relevant site experience.
• Thorough understanding of launch base/range operations, computer‑based security, life safety and payload processing facility controls systems.
• Thorough understanding of alarm/event notification processes, communication, and documentation.
• Thorough understanding of launch security operations, visitor control processes, AT/FP measures, government property accountability, and emergency response functions.
• Ability to effectively provide guidance to Level I and Level II LSOSs.

Active TS/SCI security clearance with a CI polygraph required.
