The Double Tree by Hilton Colorado Springs is hiring an Overnight Part‑Time Security Agent. The hotel security agents' primary responsibility is to ensure the safety and security of guests, staff, and hotel property. This involves patrolling the premises, monitoring surveillance systems, controlling access, responding to emergencies, and maintaining a safe environment. They also play a role in enforcing hotel policies and providing a positive guest experience.
Additional duties include occasional shuttle driving; a valid driver’s license is required.
- Regularly inspect hotel premises, including hallways, parking areas, and common areas, to identify potential hazards or security breaches.
- Observe surveillance cameras and alarm systems, looking for suspicious activity or unauthorized access.
- Regulate entry and exit points, verify guest credentials, and prevent unauthorized access to restricted areas.
- Respond to alarms, medical emergencies, and other incidents, providing first aid, summoning assistance, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Address disputes, disruptive behavior, and other issues, using conflict‑resolution skills to de‑escalate situations and maintain order.
- Document all incidents, observations, and security measures in daily logs and reports.
- Provide information and assistance to guests, ensuring a positive and safe experience.
- Ensure guests and staff adhere to hotel policies and regulations.
- Check security equipment such as cameras, alarms, and access control systems, reporting any malfunctions or issues.
- Keen awareness of surroundings and ability to identify potential threats or issues.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with guests, staff, and emergency personnel.
- Ability to de‑escalate tense situations and resolve conflicts peacefully.
- Required for patrolling, responding to emergencies, and potentially dealing with physical confrontations.
- Mentains a composed and respectful demeanor, even in challenging situations.
- Ability to assess situations, identify solutions, and take appropriate action.
- Basic knowledge of first aid and CPR is often required.
Compensation: $17—$17.50 per hour.
