DutiesThe United States Space Force (USSF) Space Operations Command (SpOC) at Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado is searching for a Delta Government SAP Security Officer (NH-0080-03, GS 12/13 equivalent).
DescriptionDo you have a solid foundational knowledge of a wide range of security concepts, program relationships, classification methods, and SAP/SCI security procedures? Are you good at planning, analyzing, and evaluating those programs to meet mission requirements, while improving the security programs of a highly dynamic, young organization tasked with protecting and defending the space domain? The Orbital Warfare Delta is seeking a Government SAP Security Officer (GSSO) to provide oversight and management of multiple security disciplines (information, personnel, physical, computer operations, and communications) in support of advanced and Special Access Programs. Skills and Abilities
- U.S. Citizenship Required
- Eligible for situational telework only, including Emergency and OPM prescribed “Unscheduled Telework”.
- PCS is not authorized. Incentive is not authorized.
- Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret w/SCI clearance.
- Employee is in a designated position that requires consent and thereafter be subject to and successfully complete an initial, periodic, and random counterintelligence (CI) scope polygraph examination.
- This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to pre-employment drug testing as a condition of employment, and participation in random drug testing.
- Employee needs to obtain and maintain approval to access the portfolio of Special Access Programs required to perform daily duties.
- Incumbent must attain DoD Security Cooperation Workforce (SCW) Certification and complete related continuous learning requirements.
- This is a Mission Essential (ME) position.
- Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.
- May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
- Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY):
Approximately 15 days per year. - Employee may be required to perform travel by military or commercial passenger aircraft in the performance of temporary duty assignments.
