Job Description
Responsible for the operation and maintenance of the HVAC equipment to include, but not limited to maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and training of the junior techs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Troubleshooting problems and performing repairs and preventive maintenance on hot water and steam boilers, centrifugal chillers, rooftop air conditioning units, recirculating and makeup air systems.
- Performs minor/major preventative maintenance tasks and repairs under the guidance and direction of senior technicians.
- Performs building rounds and readings and documentation.
- Troubleshoot systems to component levels.
- Troubleshoot and calibrate DDC and pneumatic control systems.
Shift
: C (back days) every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and every other Wednesday from 7am to 7:12pm

- Knowledge of safety policies and procedures.
- Must be able to adhere to OSHA respirator policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of mechanics and aptitude for performing repairs.
- EPA certification for handling refrigerants.
7+ years of work‑related experience and/or specialized training.
High School Diploma or GED minimum.
Language SkillsAbility to read and interpret documents such as schematic diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, technical specifications, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports, pass downs, and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with supervisors and employees of the organization.
Mathematical SkillsAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Interpersonal SkillsAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations. Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance.
Essential FunctionsAbility to walk, crawl, bend, twist, reach, and climb stairs and ladders.
Color vision, verbal communication and listening.
Ability to lift 50 pounds and carry for short distances. Ability to push, pull or drag up to 70 lbs.
Able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) that includes safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat, cartridge or Self‑Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) and protective clothing.
Standing and/or walking 85‑90%. Sitting 10‑15%.

The hourly pay range for this position, which could be performed in Colorado, is $28–52/hr.*
* Range is dependent on numerous factors including job location, skills and experience.
