Social Worker | Springs

Step into a dynamic role supporting K-12 students as a full-time school social worker in the Colorado Springs area for the  school year. This contract position will allow you to utilize your skills and expertise across at least two schools, providing essential services to a caseload of approximately 45 students with diverse backgrounds and abilities. Your work will focus on fostering student growth, engagement, and overall well-ness through tailored support and intervention strategies.

• Experience working within schools as a social worker (K-12 preferred)
• Colorado Department of Education (CDE) credential in hand or ability to obtain prior to start
• Demonstrated ability to adapt interventions and services to meet various student needs and learning styles
• Commitment to inclusivity, advocating for students' social-emotional development and success

• Develop and implement individualized and group services related to student needs, monitoring progress toward established goals
• Engage thoughtfully with students of varied backgrounds and abilities, adapting approaches to maximize engagement and growth
• Provide guidance and strategies that promote critical thinking, effective problem-solving, and student self-advocacy
• Maintain close supervision of students, ensuring safety, wellbeing, and adherence to established policies and procedures
• Communicate high expectations for all learners, collaborating with staff and families to support student achievement and welfare
