We are looking for a highly skilled Staff Software Development Engineer to join our team and lead the design, development, and optimization of our Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines. As a Staff Software Development Engineer focused on CI, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the continuous delivery of high-quality software in support of our firmware development and QA teams.

You will play a critical role in streamlining our software release processes, improving automation, and contributing to the overall performance and scalability of our CI/CD infrastructure.

This is a hybrid role with the expectation of being in office in Colorado Springs three days per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintainperformantandmaintainablecodetosolvetechnicalproblems in our automated firmware development testing environment.
• Identify opportunities for automation within the framework and implement solutions to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• API integration with various tools and languages including shell scripting.
• In depth traceback analysis for triaging software deployment and test failures.
• Act as a key point of contact for resolving issues related to CI/CD pipelines, build failures, or deployment problems.
• Participation in scrum team activities.
• Work closely with software engineers, Dev Ops, and quality assurance teams to ensure that integration and deployment processes are optimized.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and promote best practices in CI/CD and automation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ yearsofsoftwaredevelopmentexperience with C, Python in Linux environments.
• Strongsoftwaredevelopmentlifecycleexperience (create/maintain/deploy/unittest)
• Strong experience with Docker/container implementation.
• Strong experience in API integrationwith various tools.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or Groovy.
• Hands-on experience with
  
  Git, JIRA, Jenkins, and Gerrit is a plus.
• Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills
• Very good written/verbal communication skills in English

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Kubernetes or similar tooling

This position requires participation in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours support as needed.

The salary range is determined by factors such as skills, location and experience: $123,312 - $200,000
