Sr. Firmware Engineer

Job Purpose:

The Sr. Firmware Development Engineer will engage in firmware engineering activities for the VES firmware group, supporting cutting-edge data storage and server product designs in Colorado Springs. Reporting to the Firmware Engineering Manager, the candidate will participate in product design, drive firmware requirements, develop firmware for BMC/SES, support field issues, and collaborate with external partners to resolve problems. A successful candidate will have a proven track record of independently completing firmware design documentation, code development, and testing to deliver quality firmware on time.

Qualifications:

• BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
• 8+ years of experience in product design and firmware development within a medium or large global organization.
• Strong knowledge of embedded system design.
• Preferred experience with BIOS/BMC firmware development.
• Proficiency with Linux, Windows, Unix, etc.
• Experience with server/storage system architecture.
• Preferred testing experience with BMC, BIOS, and SES firmware.
• Solid hardware/software integration skills.
• Knowledge of SES, BMC, BIOS testing requirements.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with customers and engineering teams.
• Proficiency in AMI BIOS customization.
• Experience in system-level debugging, problem determination, and resolution.

Compensation: Range: $110,000 - $145,000, based on experience and skills. Benefits include health insurance, life and disability insurance, savings plan, paid holidays and PTO, and potential participation in stock and bonus programs.
