The position will support dynamic, agile projects implementing a Sec Dev Ops  approach across all phases of the software development lifecycle, to include design, development, test, and operational support / user feedback. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently as well as within a team setting on the design, implementation, and maintenance/troubleshooting of new and existing software solutions, primarily within the satellite command and control (c2) domain space.

The candidate must be self-motivated, be a self-learner, and able to work well within a dynamic schedule. Candidate must show ability to effectively communicate with various team members, customers, as well as communicate with vendor support. Candidate must be able to leverage modern industry standard technologies in the engineered solutions and be able to provide status of design efforts. This Software Development Engineer may be expected to support more than one project at a time, bringing their knowledge and experience to help not only their primary project but be able to support other projects address critical issues and challenges.

• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or engineering equivalent
• Candidate should have a minimum of 0-3 years (ideally 3 years) technical experience and possess a BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or engineering equivalent. MS in above fields is a plus.
• The successful candidate must have advance software development experience from school or industry to be proficient in the following:

• Java and C/C++ programming (including network, multi-threaded, client-server programming where applicable) on Windows and Linux platforms
• Batch File, Windows Script File, Unix Shell Scripting, Python Scripting
• Ability to design solutions to complex engineering problems

• Comprehension of Sec Dev Ops  and Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) within the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
• Development with virtualization and containerization technologies (e.g., VMWare, Docker, and Kubernetes)
• PL/SQL and Oracle database utilization with applications
• Experience with agile development methodologies and management tools
• Experience with Atlassian suite of CM tools or similar
• General understanding of launch vehicle and satellite launch ascent, test, and on-orbit operational processes, practices, and procedures

Competitive salary based on experience and education
Salary Range: $85,000-$129,000
